MIRROR IMAGE

Mirror Mirror on the wall who am I after all. we some times create an image that signifies or represents what we see as perfect or acceptable standards in our lives. That in turn can some times manifest itself in the kind of relationships we form with others or the kind of life we envisage for ourselves. That belief that there is a way that it has to be or that it should be. This at times can lead to a battle between who we are and who we imagined ourselves of becoming. This limiting premise can in turn cause us to lose ourselves in the turbulence of seeking perfection, and find ourselves misplaced in that exact conflict. That feeling is like looking at yourself through a dusky Mirror and wondering why you are unable to seem to see yourself clearly. leaving us exposed and insecure and often times finding refuge in a place where we might not necessarily fit in, a place where our reflection is distorted, an atmosphere of disorientation.

This forms part of the baggage and after-effects we carry while looking for direction and identity of who we are, causing us to frequently look at our selves through the lenses of others, not realizing the difference between an idea of who we want to be and the reality of who we are.

So I think there is a mirror image complex that is often manifested within us, it can sometimes seem like there is a singular identity, one which we should all aspire to. Part of that involves looking like we have all got it all together however, I think we need to be careful in order not to begin to define our selves to be somebody that we are not called to be.
